Mobile Gas Units
Scalable & Sized to Meet Your Gas Volume Needs
Mobile Gas Units
Express is trailer mounted and rolls right up to your site where it is connected to the main building gas connection. The system is fully operable in minutes. Express is scalable and sized to meet your gas volume needs. Blue Gas will also refill the system, bring it back and hook it back up or train your staff to do so. Blue Gas can also supply any equipment needed for connection or assist with any gas flow or leak testing as needed on a service contract basis.

Mobile Gas Units
Mobile Gas units are our most used product! The variety of unit sizes we manufacture match perfectly with the majority of gas needs that commercial and industrial buildings have and most gas needs that gas utility companies encounter.
Our mobile gas units are compact and a very efficient solution to provide temporary natural gas to your project site. The system rolls up in a trailer and plugs into any standard residential, commercial, or industrial Natural Gas meter/regulator. We cater to gas needs of any capacity and flow speed, just let us know what equipment you want to gas-up and we’ll match it with the right size of mobile unit. Once we arrive onsite the mobile gas connection could be complete in 30 minutes or less.
The natural gas delivered by our units is pipeline-quality gas because it comes from the gas utility, so you know it is the same quality as the one you will receive from the permanent gas line. This is important so the calibrations made when you commission your equipment will still work great when the permanent gas line finally arrives. Anything that runs on Natural Gas will run when connected to our mobile gas units.
Express mobile gas units have been deployed to many applications to fuel buildings of many sizes and uses, power generation equipment, industrial equipment like boilers, forges, and gas pipelines for entire residential subdivisions. We also help during emergencies: our units have provided gas to emergency dispatch centers and even survived several direct impacts from hurricanes while powering up and heating up hurricane shelters.

Blue Gas Express mobile gas units have been used in these settings:
For Commercial and Industrial use:
To provide the natural gas the new building needs or construction site allowing general contractors to commission equipment early from roof-top-units, generators, ambient heating during construction so dry-wall spackle can cure faster. Natural gas heat will drive out humidity and speed-up your work, thus completing the building faster. Office partitions are built quickly, and paint dries fast. Our service will also allow you to get hot water to help construction and obtain your certificates of occupancy, so parts of the building can start operations while others are still being finished.
After construction, if the main gas line is still delayed, we will continue to provide the natural gas the building needs. Our systems are scalable, so we will increase or decrease the number of mobile gas units the project needs onsite and will manage their refueling rotation with the help of the advanced remote monitoring systems and other computer controlled technology that they carry, our project dispatch team and the great gas technicians that you interact with.
For Residential home sites (subdivisions):
Our mobile gas units routinely gas-up model homes so home-buyers feel comfortable during sales process and allows the builder to showcase fireplaces, hot tubs, heated pools, gas ranges and backup generators. This service provides a great assurance to new buyers, knowing that when their home is built, it will be operating with the gas it needs, even if the utility’s permanent gas lines are experiencing
construction delays.
We have executed projects where one mobile gas unit injects gas into the subdivision main lines, feeding multiple new homes, some occupied and others unoccupied, while the gas utility works on bringing their gas line to feed the subdivision. We partner with gas utilities and coordinate efforts so the transition from our temporary gas to the permanent gas utility service is seamless.
For Gas Utility use:
Sometimes projects get delayed despite your best efforts. DOT permits, Railroad permits, environmental studies, complex drilling, weather related pipeline construction are all great examples where gas utilities fall behind on their natural gas supply commitment to customers, but now you have our services and state of the art patented equipment we make to solve these problems fast and easily. If your customer needs gas, we will get it there fast and coordinate with your field operations teams so when we arrive, gas is flowing in minutes. Likewise, when your construction delay is resolved, switching from our mobile gas to your permanent main line gas is a seamless transition because we show you how to prepare the equipment ahead of that for when that happens.
There are projects unique to gas utilities and we cater to those as well. Here are some examples where we helped: providing gas to farm taps while sections of old pipeline are replaced upstream, providing gas to municipalities while you build a new pipeline and responding to accidental gas disruptions caused by digging accidents. We are already the contractors of choice of many gas utilities, so we have the training and built special mobile gas units and just to respond to these situations.
Advanced Technology:
Blue Gas Express mobile gas units have a very small footprint, yet carry lots of gas, are equipped with state of the art, computer controlled gas flow systems that are actively heated and smart heating systems that turn on and off automatically to prevent equipment from freezing during fast gas flow situations. Then there are the sensors we have connected to the remote monitoring system, which allow us to read gas levels on-demand from any cell phone and use any cell phone network. Using remote monitoring allow us to see if the mobile units are turned on or off and if there are any power disruptions or if our systems are running on back-up battery during power outages. More importantly, we can estimate exactly when a trailer will run out of gas and dispatch another hot-swapping mobile unit to the project site before that happens. At times we can even determine when there are problems in buildings or pipelines because our remote monitoring reports abnormal gas usage patterns. We are an energy technology company that is always solving gas-related issues with great technology, so give us a call, we are ready to help you improve your service response.
How it works:
Mobile gas units are usually deployed in 16ft long trailers that are 8ft wide, so they occupy one parking lot space. When we deliver one to your project site, we will connect it to your building or pipeline regulator using flexible line which is protected by rigid conduit and laid out in
minutes. We connect the mobile gas unit to regular 110v power so that the heaters can operate if needed and to power the remote monitoring devices and smart sensors. Power allows us to keep the back-up batteries charged as well, so the system will continue to dispense gas even during power outages. If there is no power, we can also deploy a natural gas powered generator that turns on only when it senses that the back-up batteries need to charge and turns off automatically when they are charged. Then we install a gas manifold for projects that require continuous gas which allows us to connect a second mobile gas unit while the main one is taken to a CNG station to be refilled. We’ll actively monitor the gas levels and know when its time to go refuel. We partner with the gas utility to make the start of temporary gas go very smooth and also prepare from day-1 for when the permanent gas arrives, so that transition can be seamless and without disruption to the customer’s equipment.
