Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
For Large Scale Users
LNG Systems
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is used as an affordable, safe, and reliable fuel for industrial users. LNG replaces propane, diesel and fuel oil, which are all more expensive and a lot dirtier. Blue Gas Express LNG is available in a variety of capacity sizes to meet the needs of customers who need a temporary or permanent supply of natural gas without having to connect to a natural gas pipeline.
When the amount of gas consumption is very large, it becomes feasible to bring industrial quantities of Liquified Natural Gas to a customer site and vaporize it on demand as the customer needs it. LNG is very cold Natural Gas that has been chilled to -260 F in order to turn it into a liquid. By turning it into a liquid very large quantities of natural gas can be stored in a small space and only a small portion is transformed back into a gas vapor at ambient temperature to be used by industrial equipment.
Whenever several Express Mobile Units become too small for large industrial use of natural gas, Express provides turn-key Liquified Natural Gas vaporization plants. LNG is then brought on-site from many liquefaction plants where Blue Gas Express has liquefaction contracts.
Express LNG has been deployed to several applications:
For Industrial use:
LNG vaporization sites have been setup forrail-wagon manufacturing, car parts forging plants, industrial boiler systems, asphalt melting plants, lumber drying facilities, steam plants, large municipal operations like garbage incinerators, water treatment plants and many other uses. Whenever very large feed stocks of natural gas are needed, we are there to help you. If our CNG (compressed natural gas) mobile gas units are too small for these applications, then we provide LNG systems that bring in very large quantities of cold liquid gas and we bring the equipment to turn it into usable gas vapor.
For Gas Utility use:
LNG vaporization sites have been setup to bridge interruptions of main gas lines by injecting vaporized LNG into the downstream section of pipeline, while new pipeline sections are maintaining, repaired or replaced.
Another use of LNG is to supplement shortages of gas vapor during periods of large consumption, when peak-shaving facilities are undergoing maintenance or due to accidental disruption of gas flow for any reason.
How it works:
Express provides LNG containers, vaporizers, odorizers and large regulators and sections of pipeline that work together as a complete system to produce the gas flow and pressures needed. Then we bring in tractor-trailer loads of 8,000 to 10,000 gallons of LNG to refuel the fuel containers on site, for continuous gas flow.
As a turn-key provider of LNG we don’t just bring the equipment and the gas, we also provide the necessary site-preparation planning, coordination and management. We create the mandatory Emergency Management Plans, bring in all the personnel and technology required to operate and monitor the LNG site and interact with Fire Marshals and other regulatory bodies as your subject matter expert. We take care of all regulatory issues, logistics, equipment, LNG plant capacity contracts and operation of the LNG site, so you can focus on running your operations.
